Job summary

LandSeed is a non-profit focused on accessible entry-level housing in Canada, seeking a Motion Designer to transform interviews and raw footage into compelling visual stories. Your work will support communications and outreach across campaigns and social platforms.

You will edit for consistency with branding, collaborate with the communications team, and help raise awareness of LandSeed’s mission while delivering high-quality motion graphics and animations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience with video editing tools.
  • Ability to create clean, engaging motion graphics.
  • Strong storytelling and visual sense.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate remotely.

Job Description

The Motion Designer supports communication and outreach efforts by creating engaging video and motion content, transforming ideas, interviews, and raw footage into compelling visual stories that communicate the organization’s mission and impact.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Edit videos for social media, campaigns, and presentations.
  • Create motion graphics and simple animations.
  • Improve audio, visuals, and overall storytelling quality.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to produce engaging content.
  • Maintain consistent branding across video materials.
Qualifications & Skillsets
Education & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years of Experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar).
  • Ability to create clean, engaging motion graphics.
  • Strong storytelling and visual sense.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate remotely.
Skillsets
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with video editing, compositing, and motion tracking.
  • Ability to translate creative briefs and brand guidelines into compelling visual content.
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers, marketers, content creators, and other teams.
  • Knowledge of current digital, social media, and video content trends.
