Responsibilities include:

  • Building and managing relationships within a referral network to generate new mortgage business and increase BMO’s share of the home financing market.
  • Identifying sales opportunities and referring clients to BMO colleagues as appropriate.
  • Developing and executing marketing and sales programs to drive results.
  • Following corporate policies, operating directives, and legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively contacting referral and origination sources through partnerships and local initiatives.
  • Supporting targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Seeking cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to meet sales and profitability goals.
  • Participating in community events to enhance BMO’s presence.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and guiding customers through mortgage applications.
  • Partnering with branch teams for customer handoffs and documentation.
  • Resolving issues to meet customer expectations and ensuring timely fund disbursement.
  • Referring clients to banking products and services beyond mortgages.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Analyzing data and preparing reports to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Engaging with networks to generate referrals and mortgage originations.
  • Completing transactions in compliance with guidelines and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of mortgage lending processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of personal banking, investments, and real estate markets.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
