Job summary

Transam Carriers Inc. in Vaughan, Ontario is seeking an organized City Dispatcher to start the GTA day. You’ll ensure pickups, deliveries, shunts, and trailer switches run on time, coordinating with customers and warehouses.

You will monitor drivers in real time, handle delays, and hand over to the afternoon dispatcher. Experience with TMS/ELD systems and Samsara is valued; bilingual candidates have an edge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years dispatch experience for local or city moves.
• Strong knowledge of GTA roads, terminals and customer facilities.
• Experience with TMS and ELD/telematics systems.
• Samsara experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Get city drivers rolling on time with pickups, deliveries, shunts and trailer switches.
• Coordinate with customers, warehouses and linehaul to meet schedule.
• Track drivers in real time and manage delays and changes.
• Maintain accurate trip, hours and detention records.
• Hand over to afternoon dispatcher at midday.
