Job summary

Running Room in Surrey, BC is seeking a Store Assistant Manager for Morgan Crossing to deliver exceptional customer experiences and support the store's daily operations. You will guide customers, help with product selection, operate the cash register, and work with the manager to ensure smooth merchandising and a welcoming environment for runners and fitness enthusiasts.

Part-time role 20-30 hours per week, with weekday and weekend availability and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Excellent English, verbal and written, with clear communication.
• Available weekdays and weekends.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Interest in running and fitness environment.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and product recommendations.
• Engage customers to assess needs with open-ended questions.
• Share responsibilities of running the store with the manager.
• Operate cash register and computer for sales tasks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Be a friendly and knowledgeable resource for every customer, answer customer questions, and make product recommendations
• Connect with every customer by asking open-ended questions to assess needs
• Share the responsibility of running the store with the manager
• Operate the cash register and use the computer for business tasks and product research
• Keep the store clean, tidy, and attractive by following merchandising standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Confident and comfortable engaging with customers to deliver a positive experience
• Experienced Runner with a love of the sport and of the running community
• Part Time Store Assistant manager 20-30hrs/week.
• Motivated to achieve great results because of one's enthusiasm for the running, walking, and fitness environment
• Love of learning and ability to grasp new concepts and product knowledge quickly
• Self-motivated to complete tasks or activities with little supervision
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written English
• Available weekdays and weekends!!
