We are looking for a Business Analyst to work with one of our clients, an international bank based in Montreal.

Job Overview:

The Operational Security Specialist will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing network security operations, governance, and architecture. This includes managing security tools, approving and reviewing network flows, and ensuring adherence to security guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Security Operations & Governance:

• Manage network security tools and oversee network flow approvals and reviews.
• Participate in network design assessments and diagram reviews.

Support and Maintenance:

• Handle daily operations of network security platforms, including troubleshooting and resolving network flow issues.
• Deploy, test, and transition new network security solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.

Audit and Compliance:

• Respond to both internal and external audit requests.
• Conduct regular firewall rule reviews to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Develop, update, and enforce network security procedures, technical guidelines, and controls.

Risk Management:

• Identify and evaluate vulnerabilities within the network security landscape.
• Analyze security alerts, investigate incidents, and implement preventive measures.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Work closely with other IT teams to incorporate network security solutions into broader IT services and processes.
• Maintain technical documentation related to network security upgrades and service improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Production or IT Security, with specific knowledge in network security.
• Strong experience using network technologies such as firewalls (Fortinet/Checkpoint), WAF (AVI/F5), IPS/IDS, Micro-segmentation tools (ACI, Illumio, NSX-T…)
• Strong technical understanding of network technologies, security concepts, operating systems, and databases.

Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adaptability.
• Effective communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Candidates must be located in Montreal or willing to relocate.
• Hybrid setup with 3 days on-site per week.
