Embedded Firmware Tester – Security Specialist (RFID/BLE, Penetration Testing)

We are hiring a Senior Embedded Firmware Tester – Security Specialist to join our Montreal-based R&D team. If you are passionate about embedded security, RFID/BLE technologies, and penetration testing, this role offers the opportunity to work on next-generation electronic lock systems with advanced security features.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security testing strategies for electronic locks and access control systems.
• Conduct penetration testing, reverse engineering, and vulnerability assessments on embedded firmware.
• Develop and automate security test cases using scripting languages and specialized testing tools.
• Identify and mitigate threats such as unauthorized access, replay attacks, and buffer overflows.
• Perform firmware analysis and validate integrity for embedded systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in security testing for embedded systems.
• Strong knowledge of RFID/BLE security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with penetration testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, Flipper Zero, Proxmark).
• Proficient in C programming, with expertise in STM32, FreeRTOS, ARM Cortex-M, and Zephyr.
• Background in firmware integrity validation and side-channel analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
