Job summary

Yukon Montessori School seeks a dedicated Montessori Casa Lead Guide to join our team in the Yukon. This permanent role entails leading classroom activities for children aged 3 to 6, maintaining a safe, inclusive environment, and communicating with families about development.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, with current first aid certification and vulnerable sector clearances required. Wage will be based on certification level and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 3 to 6.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Current first aid certification.
• RCMP vulnerable sector check, TB test, immunization records, and fitness to work with children.

Yukon Montessori School is seeking a dedicated, experienced Montessori Casa Lead Guide to join our team. This is an opportunity to help deliver meaningful, child-centred Montessori education to students in Yukon.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support classroom learning activities for children aged 3 to 6.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide direction to children with daily routines and care as needed.
• Supervise children during outdoor play, park visits, and field trips.
• Maintain regular, respectful communication with parents regarding their child’s well-being and development.
• Prepare, maintain, and organize Montessori classroom materials.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support a positive school community.
• Experience working with children aged 3 to 6 and a strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Current first aid certification.
• Current RCMP vulnerable sector check, negative TB test, immunization records, and a physician’s note confirming fitness to work with children.

Hourly wage will be based on certification level, experience, and training.
