Job summary

Raise is hiring a Money Market Settlement & Confirmation Officer in Toronto, hybrid role. You will verify and confirm money market transactions, manage settlement and clearing, and liaise with counterparties to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in banking back office with settlements or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
• Experience in Canadian banking, preferably settlements/operations.
• Finance/Economics background with ability to learn quickly.
• Strong multitasking, independence, customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Verify and confirm money market transactions with counterparties to ensure accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
• Manage the settlement and clearing process for money market transactions, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Liaise with internal departments and external counterparties to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of all confirmations and settlements for audit and reporting purposes.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Monitor and adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the transaction process.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the confirmation and settlement operations.

Must-have Skills

• 1+ years in banking back office in settlements or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar area of study.
• Canadian banking experience, preferably in settlements or operations.
• Finance/Economics background with the ability to learn quickly.
• Soft skills; multi tasking, independent, excellent customer service, and communication skills

Nice-to-have Skills

• 4-5 years in banking operations in a settlements or similar role.
