Job summary

Magna International in Brampton, Ontario, is recruiting an Apprentice (Fixed Term) Mold Maker to support tooling in our Plastcoat facility. You will assist with mold setup, inspection, and repairs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates have started a Tool and Die Maker or Mold Maker program (first year completed, second year preferred), basic machining skills, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 1st year in a Tool & Die Maker or Mold Maker program, with 2nd year preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools and basic machining skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trouble shooting and repairs on molds at Injection Molding Machines.
• Assist with Mold Repairs, Preventive Maintenance, and Engineering changes in the tool room.
• Operate machine tools and help fabricate and repair metal working tools and jigs.
• Support design and rework of tooling projects and maintain 5S standards.
• Keep accurate records and comply with safety and quality policies.
