Job summary

National Seating & Mobility, Inc. is hiring a Mobility Equipment Technician to combine mechanical know-how with outstanding customer service as you travel throughout your community helping clients live more independently.

You will install, service, and repair mobility and accessibility equipment in homes and healthcare facilities, educate clients and caregivers, and collaborate with therapists to ensure the best outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Delivering, installing, servicing, and repairing mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.
• Assembling, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining mobility products.
• Educating clients and caregivers on safe operation and care of their equipment.
• Installing products such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, grab bars, ramps, ceiling lifts, and stairlifts.
• Completing wheelchair setup records.
• Maintaining rental equipment and supporting warehouse operations.
• Working with therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Providing outstanding customer service while building relationships with clients and their families.
• Assisting with inventory management and other branch responsibilities as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Mobility Equipment Technician, you will combine mechanical know-how with exceptional customer service as you travel throughout your community helping clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering, installing, servicing, and repairing mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.
• Assembling, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of mobility products.
• Educating clients and caregivers on the safe operation and care of their equipment.
• Installing products such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, grab bars, ramps, ceiling lifts, and stairlifts.
• Completing required documentation, including wheelchair setup records.
• Maintaining rental equipment and supporting warehouse operations.
• Working collaboratively with therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Providing outstanding customer service while building positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Assisting with inventory management and other branch responsibilities as needed.

You will be successful if you:

You will also need

• A valid driver's license.
• The ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.

Experience working with mobility or medical equipment is considered an asset, but we will provide the training you need to succeed.
