Job summary

National Seating & Mobility is seeking a Mobility Equipment Technician in Fredericton, NB. You will deliver, install, service, and repair mobility and accessibility equipment in clients' homes and healthcare facilities, using your mechanical skills to improve independence for children, adults and seniors.

We value hands-on problem solving, customer service, and safety. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required, and training is provided for mobility equipment.

Qualifications

• No medical experience required; mechanical ability is essential.
• Experience with hand and power tools is helpful, but training will be provided for mobility equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, service, and repair mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.
• Assemble, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of mobility products.
• Educate clients and caregivers on safe operation and care of equipment.
• Install products such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, ramps, ceiling lifts, and stairlifts.
• Complete required documentation and support warehouse operations.
• Work with therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide outstanding customer service and build positive relationships with clients and families.
• Assist with inventory management as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Mobility Equipment Technician, you will combine mechanical know-how with exceptional customer service as you travel throughout your community helping clients.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Delivering, installing, servicing, and repairing mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.
• Assembling, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of mobility products.
• Educating clients and caregivers on the safe operation and care of their equipment.
• Installing products such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, grab bars, ramps, ceiling lifts, and stairlifts.
• Completing required documentation, including wheelchair setup records.
• Maintaining rental equipment and supporting warehouse operations.
• Working collaboratively with therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Providing outstanding customer service while building positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Assisting with inventory management and other branch responsibilities as needed.

Experience working with mobility or medical equipment is considered an asset, but we will provide the training you need to succeed.
