Job summary

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is seeking a hands-on Mobility Equipment Technician to travel within your community to deliver, install, service, and repair mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.

You will assemble, adjust, and troubleshoot a variety of products, educate clients and caregivers, complete wheelchair setup records, and collaborate with therapists to ensure the best outcomes for clients. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability and hands-on problem-solving.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, service, and repair mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.
• Assemble, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain mobility products.
• Educate clients and caregivers on safe operation and care of equipment.
• Install products such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, grab bars, ramps, ceiling lifts, and stairlifts.
• Complete required documentation, including wheelchair setup records.
• Maintain rental equipment and support warehouse operations.
• Work collaboratively with therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure best outcomes.
• Provide outstanding customer service while building relationships with clients and families.
• Assist with inventory management and branch duties as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Mobility Equipment Technician, you will combine mechanical know‑how with exceptional customer service as you travel throughout your community helping clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering, installing, servicing, and repairing mobility and accessibility equipment in client homes and healthcare facilities.
• Assembling, adjusting, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of mobility products.
• Educating clients and caregivers on the safe operation and care of their equipment.
• Installing products such as wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, grab bars, ramps, ceiling lifts, and stairlifts.
• Completing required documentation, including wheelchair setup records.
• Maintaining rental equipment and supporting warehouse operations.
• Working collaboratively with therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Providing outstanding customer service while building positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Assisting with inventory management and other branch responsibilities as needed.
