Duties: In this role, you will coordinate mobility initiatives, engage with community partners, support transportation planning objectives, and promote active transportation throughout the city. You will also have the following accountabilities: Lead and support the implementation of initiatives identified in the Active Transportation Plan, Transportation Master Plan, Transportation Demand Management Program, and Wayfinding Strategy. Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate mobility programs and projects, including measuring outcomes and preparing reports for administration and City Council. Promote active transportation through public outreach, education campaigns, community events, presentations, and stakeholder engagement activities. Support initiatives that advance the City''s Net-Zero Strategy, Active and Safe Routes to School programs, and connections between transportation systems and end-of-trip facilities. Build and maintain partnerships with community organisations, school boards, government agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders to advance shared mobility objectives. Provide input into transportation planning, development reviews, active transportation design standards, and policies related to pedestrian and cycling infrastructure. Lead and support funding applications, budget development, asset management planning, procurement activities, and contract administration for mobility-related projects. Monitor industry trends, legislation, emerging practices, and accessibility considerations, and recommend improvements to programs, policies, and services.

Qualifications: Here''s what will help you succeed as the Mobility Coordinator: Degree in planning or a related discipline; and Minimum four years’ experience developing and implementing transportation initiatives, including conducting public outreach and education; and assessing community engagement, or other related work experience Experience in applying for federal and provincial government and non-government funding Knowledge of applicable legislations, related regulations, and best practices Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing; and proven report writing skills Ability to deliver presentations to a variety of audiences and to skillfully handle on-the-spot questions from senior officials, members of City Council, special interest groups, and the media Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, private and public officials, and the public Excellent project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills
