Job summary

TEN Canada Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician (Licensed) to travel to customer sites in Cornwall and surrounding areas.

You will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repair on a wide range of trailers and equipment, including electrical systems, brakes and suspensions. You will work with a team of skilled professionals, adhere to safety standards, maintain accurate service records, and utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

  • 310J/310T certification required.
  • Experience as a trailer service technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of trailer electrical, brake, suspension and structural components.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on trailers and equipment.
  • Inspect trailers to identify maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, parts replacement, brakes and suspension adjustments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues using diagnostic tools.
  • Repair or replace damaged parts including electrical systems, tires, brakes, lights, couplers and axles.
  • Perform welding, fabrication and bodywork repairs as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate service records.

  • Hourly wage is competitive, ranging from $35.00 up to $47.00 (with premium) depending on experience
  • Mobile Premium of $2.00

As a Mobile Trailer Technician (Licensed), you'll travel to various sites to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services on a wide range of trailers and equipment. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both company-owned and customer equipment. You'll work on everything from Dry Vans, Reefers, and Heaters to Flat Beds, Chassis, and much more!

Specific responsibilities include
  • Travel to customer locations to perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and adjusting brakes and suspension systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace damaged or faulty trailer parts, including electrical systems, tires, brakes, lights, couplers, and axles.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout all repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours
Qualifications
  • 310J/310T Technician Certification
  • Proven experience as a Trailer Service Technician or similar role.
  • Knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, suspension, braking, and structural components.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 85 pounds.
