Qualifications

Job description

**We are seeking candidates who are located in Canada and authorized to work in Canada on a T4 basis for this opportunity.**

Join a leading Canadian retail giant, partnering with Aquent Talent, and make a real impact on how millions of customers engage with their favorite brand. As a Product Owner specializing in mobile, you’ll be the driving force behind an innovative native mobile app, helping to shapeits features and user experience. This role is pivotal in translating existing web features into a seamless native mobile experience, directly influencing customer engagement and satisfaction.

As a key member of thisproduct team, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring the native mobile app delivers a best-in-class user experience. You’ll collaborate with designers, developers, and fellow product owners, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of the company’s mobile presence with your strong knowledge of native mobile applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for various native mobile app features, including automotive, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Partner with UX designers and other product owners to adapt existing website features for a seamless mobile experience.
  • Create and maintain a detailed product backlog aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure clear communication of backlog items and acceptance criteria to the development team.
  • Facilitate regular backlog grooming sessions to refine priorities and address emerging needs.
  • Keep stakeholders informed on progress, roadblocks, and updates.
  • Guarantee delivered features meet high-quality standards and align with user expectations.

What You’ll Bring

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 2+years experience as a Product Owner or similar role in native mobile app development. (Must have native mobile app experience to be considered for this role)
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable user stories and tasks.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Experience translating website features to native mobile app experiences
  • Experience working in retail, loyalty or ecommerce environments

The target hiring compensation range for this role is C$40 to C$45/hr, T4. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
