Job summary

Iamgold Corporation is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of mobile equipment at our mining sites in Canada. You will perform planned maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safe, efficient operations, contributing to both surface and underground activities.

The role requires a DEP in mechanics or equivalent, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and a strong emphasis on autonomy, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• DEP or equivalent in mechanics.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Possession of modular mining worker training is an asset.
• Valid explosives permit or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on mobile equipment and ensure their proper functioning.
• Carry out tasks according to proper procedures and safely.
• Perform planned maintenance and work.
• Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of a large fleet of highly diverse equipment to maintain good surface and underground operations.

Qualifications

• Holds a vocational diploma (DEP) in mechanics or equivalent.
• Has a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Possesses good manual skills.
• Demonstrates autonomy and strong ability to work in a team.
• Ability to make certain decisions and has a sharp analytical capacity.
• Prioritizes health and safety as well as teamwork as key values at work.
• Possession of modular mining worker training considered an asset.
