Job summary

SHORELINE DRYWALL LTD. in Langford, BC is hiring an insulator to travel to site locations across Vancouver Island.

This permanent, full-time role requires a secondary school certificate and 2–3 years of experience, with a pay rate of $38.50 per hour for a 35-hour workweek. You will read blueprints, measure and cut insulation, apply insulation and vapour barriers, and ensure proper installation around joists and obstacles.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2–3 years of insulation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions.
• Apply and secure insulation using various methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead and mould insulation materials.
