Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. Burlington, ON is seeking a Boom Operator to transport materials to job sites and place them on delivery routes with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

The role requires a valid DZ/AZ license, 0–8-ton mobile crane certification, and at least 1 year of crane experience. You will operate the boom crane, maintain equipment, communicate with crews, and help prepare trucks for reloads.

Qualifications

• Valid DZ/AZ driver’s license (or equivalent) with a minimum of two years of experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
• 0–8-ton mobile crane certification with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Practical written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform circle-checks and complete logbook entries.
• Transport loads in a professional manner, following road rules and representing the company to high standards.
• Ensure proper vehicle and boom/mobile crane maintenance and servicing.
• Verify load security and accuracy; deliver materials to customer satisfaction.
• Maintain safety, service, and efficiency; operate the boom crane during loading/unloading.
• Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites; coordinate with dispatch.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
