Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) seeks a Crane Operator to safely operate cranes in a fast-paced open-pit coal mining environment. You will relocate equipment, draft lift plans, and contribute to operational efficiency at our Elk Valley site in Canada.

The role requires Red Seal certification and a valid driver’s license, with preference for hydraulics certification. EVR offers competitive compensation and a 4x4 day shift schedule in a mountainous region.

Qualifications

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator Certification.
• Preference for Mobile Crane Operator Hydraulic 300 ton and Under.
• Class 5 Driver's License; Class 3 or 1 considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Set up crane for lifting including mobilizing and stabilizing, calculating crane capacities and drafting lift plans.
• Operate conventional and hydraulic mobile cranes up to 300 ton to lift/move/place equipment and materials.
• Perform various rigging to complete minor to complex jobs.
• Carry out routine crane maintenance and inspections.
• Adhere to safety and environmental rules and procedures.
