Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking an apprentice Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to support maintenance of mining equipment in a 4x4 rotation. You will work with Red Seal mentors to diagnose, repair, and optimize CAT, Komatsu, P&H and Hitachi gear.
The role requires enrollment as a 2nd–4th year apprentice, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to relocate to Sparwood, BC. EVR offers housing support and a strong benefits package.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Apprentices work alongside Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics in maintaining our fleet of mining equipment in a shop or field environment.
Schedule: 4x4 shift schedule consisting of days and nights.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. is necessary. To support relocation, EVR offers several temporary housing resources:
Salary Range: $116,000 - $126,000 CAD / Year
Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
