Job summary

Amii is seeking a highly skilled ML/AI researcher or engineer for a 12-month paid residency, with potential hire by Trufla Technology thereafter. You will work under the guidance of Amii scientists, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance agentic AI, retrieval-augmented reasoning, and predictive modeling in regulated insurance workflows.

The role emphasizes practical applied research, real-world impact, and knowledge transfer with industry partners.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level degree in CS/AI/Data Science or related field.
• Experience applying ML and generative AI to solve real business problems.
• Expertise in LLM, RAG, and AI agents with knowledge graphs.
• Familiarity with tool-augmented reasoning and evaluation methods for agentic AI.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks; experience with Linux, CI/CD, and cloud.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and evaluate AI agents for platform operations and predictive modeling.
• Design event-driven AI agents triggered by platform actions.
• Architect and optimize RAG pipelines with deterministic gate rails.
• Build models to capture market trends and enable real-time processing.
• Conduct applied research on multi-agent architectures and coordination.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to develop MVPs and client solutions.
• Lead client-focused presentations and progress reporting.
