Job summary

RBC Borealis is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Platform Engineer to design and implement ML infrastructure and automation tools. You will work on deploying, automating, and maintaining ML applications with cross-functional teams and scale across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to automate the ML deployment process, monitor systems, and ensure robust pipelines using state-of-the-art tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing distributed systems and Machine Learning systems.
• Experience with building and maintaining DevOps pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with MLOps orchestration tools such as AirFlow, Kubeflow, Dagster, Flyte, or MetaFlow.
• Deep knowledge of ML deployment processes across environments.
• Experience building tools to automate infra and DevOps tasks.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
• Strong UNIX fundamentals.
• Experience with monitoring solutions for bottlenecks and incidents.
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ML deployment tools and automation systems for data and ML apps.
• Define and implement best practices for data and ML pipelines across the org.
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to automate code analysis, build, integration, and deployment of ML apps.
• Support infrastructure design decisions and monitoring solutions for projects.
• Develop scalable hybrid cloud/on-prem hosting for ML systems using modern tech.
