Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC invites applications for an Interim Engineering Intern - Systems on the Machine Learning Systems Team in Markham, Ontario. You will work at the intersection of ML, compilers, and AI hardware, collaborating with software, firmware, and hardware teams to optimize AI models on Qualcomm's NPU.

The role focuses on development of ML/AI compilers, performance modeling, and hardware-aware optimizations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Engineering, CS, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python or C++, strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with Linux, Git, SSH, and software development workflows (CI/CD).
• Experience with ML frameworks and AI hardware concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve performance of ML workloads on Qualcomm AI accelerators.
• Compile and optimize neural networks for execution on AI hardware.
• Prototype algorithms to boost AI workloads with high performance and low power consumption.
• Contribute to ML compiler stack to improve efficiency and scalability.
