• At least 1 year experience in a batch processing manufacturing environment.
• Experience with DEACOM ERP is an asset.
• Aptitude to lift up to 23 kgs frequently.

Job Title: Mixing Operator – Cook

Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent, minimum 40 hours per week

Compensation: $25.8 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand the production schedule, and cook sauces accordingly within the given time frame
• Collect the prepared batches and pre-prep ingredients to the line and stage them accordingly near kettles in order to cook the batch (dressings, marinades and different kind of sauces)
• Orient the entire line cooking team on the production schedule for the day and provide reminders on cleanliness, food handling, and adhering to all standards and guidelines
• Assess the state of readiness of the expediting station
• Check the cleanliness of kettles, holding tanks and entire assembly area
• Ensure proper sanitation using appropriate chemicals designated for different allergens used on the line
• Carry out training of new kitchen recruits
• Comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures
• Attend pre-shift meetings and other functions as required
• Complete all paperwork involved to day-to-day operation
• Report all equipment problems, maintenance issues, violations or substandard practices to supervisor immediately upon encountering a problem
• Assume full responsibility for quality of products cooked

Job Requirements:

o High School Diploma or equivalent

• Requirements:

o At least 1 year experience in a batch processing manufacturing environment

o Experience with issuing and releasing materials in ERP System

o DEACOM ERP experience is an Asset

o Ability to complete manual checklists and follow recipe specifications

o Experience in working with a RFID scanner

o Able to lift up to 23 kgs on regular basis.

o Continuous standing for duration of shift

o Bending, pulling and pushing required

o Ability to work with temperature extremes and food odours

o Ability to manually handle food allergens

o Food manufacturing experience an asset
