Job summary

CMP Group Ltd. seeks a Manufacturing Machine Operator (Mixed Metals) to join our Delta, BC location on a full-time permanent basis. The operator will produce quality non-ferrous gravity castings according to CMP drawings and work instructions.

This role offers a competitive pay rate, extended benefits after four months, overtime opportunities, and a safety-focused work environment. Shift: 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• 1 year of melt furnace operation experience or mixed metal operator background.
• 1 year of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working in a hot environment and lifting with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Load and control operation of the melt furnaces.
• Alloy metals as required.
• Set-up and pre-heat of casting moulds.
• Set-up and pre-heat of inserts as required.
• Pour molten metal into casting moulds.
• Skim castings and furnaces to minimize dross and slag.
• Stamp lot numbers into castings.
• Remove castings from moulds.
• Package castings as required.
• Fabricate inserts, cutting and pressing as required.
• Maintain a clean work area.

Grade 12 or equivalent
