Job summary

Adult & Teen Challenge of Central Canada (ATCCC) operates a SuperThrift store and supports life-changing programs through faith-based approaches. The role oversees ownership and day-to-day management of the thrift store, leading staff, students, and volunteers to achieve sales targets while upholding the ministry’s values.

The candidate will ensure excellent customer service, effective operations, and strong inventory and donation handling, aligning with the Christ-centered mission of ATCCC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post secondary education considered an asset.
• Minimum five (5) years experience in retail management.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Experience with inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor staff, students and volunteers.
• Direct store supervisors and managers.
• Set goals for staff, leadership, and store performance.
• Coach and develop employee performance.
• Complete and present employee appraisals.
• Oversee daily staffing levels and adjust as needed to support operations.
• Recruit, hire and staff all positions within the store.
• Schedule staff and manage attendance.
• Ensure excellence in cash handling, security, and store cleanliness.
• Support loss prevention efforts and be the point person for store security.
• Order and maintain required products and supplies.
• Ensure merchandising standards are met.
• Manage revenue controls and write-offs as needed.
• Provide positive customer relations and resolve concerns professionally.
