Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Canada is seeking an experienced ICT design engineer to support data center facilities and related projects. The role includes site surveys, producing deliverables, and ensuring QA/QC compliance in a collaborative design environment.

Ideal candidates have an accredited engineering degree, 5+ years in ICT design, and proficiency with CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit. The position offers a hybrid schedule with travel as needed and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years related industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ICT design principles for backbone and horizontal cabling.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Performs duties to assist or act as the project manager as follows: gives input or creates plans to complete tasks within the project timeline and budget.
• Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews returned work to ensure timely execution.
