Job summary

The University of Ottawa invites applications for a Part-Time Student Professor to teach Management Information Systems (ADM2372) in the Telfer School of Management, Ottawa, ON, for the 2027 Winter Semester.

Teaching will be in person, with courses scheduled Tuesdays 13:00–14:30 and Thursdays 11:30–13:00. Applicants should hold an MBA or Master’s degree (PhD preferred) with IT-for-business specialization and have recent teaching experience using case-method instruction.

Qualifications

• Must have an MBA or a Master’s degree (preferably a PhD) with a specialization directly related to information systems, or applications of information technology for business.
• Must demonstrate recent and up-to-date professional experience in all areas of the course.
• Sound knowledge pertaining to the strategic and operational use of IT in organizations, including CRM and SCM and business intelligence.
• Teaching experience, preferably in information technology for business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Management Information Systems course in person, following the case method approach.
• Present course materials, lead discussions, and assess student performance.
• Coordinate with the faculty and adhere to the Telfer School’s teaching standards.
