Qualifications

• 2-year Diploma in a related field (Digital Communications, Wireless Technologies, RF Systems).
• 2 years relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of RF and microwave communications fundamentals.
• Familiarity with RF propagation/coverage prediction tools.
• Experience with in-pit/mobile hardware installation and maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to drive four-wheel drive vehicles in remote areas.
• Safety-conscious in a mining environment; able to work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and maintain mining technology components and systems.
• Install and maintain wireless data networks and mobile computing hardware.
• Ensure security and availability of wireless networks.
• Support cyber-security improvements, incident response and forensics.
• Maintain real-time data network connectivity to supported systems (e.g., autonomous haulage).
• Collaborate with Teck Digital Services to evaluate new equipment.
• Other tasks as assigned.
