Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Energy and Resources team in Canada. You will lead design and analysis for mining and heavy industrial infrastructure, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safety and quality in delivery.

The role requires a P.Eng with 12–15 years of experience and willingness to travel. Hybrid work is available with a minimum of two days in the local office. Expect competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural.
• A Master's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural is preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer in at least one province with 12 to15 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on industrial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow Stantec Safety Culture and Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Perform structural design and analysis to applicable codes for heavy industrial mining and energy structures.
• Develop designs through sketches, hand calculations, structural analysis models.
• Interface with other disciplines and project management to execute projects per the project plan.
• Coach and mentor EITs and designers as part of professional development.
