Tamata Mining seeks an experienced Shop Foreman to lead a high‑performance service team responsible for maintenance and repair of premium mining equipment for a key client. You’ll drive day‑to‑day shop operations, ensure safety and quality, and mentor technicians in a fast‑paced environment.

The role emphasizes planning, supervision, and collaboration with field teams to reduce downtime and extend equipment life while maintaining meticulous records and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a mechanical shop or field service.
• Strong mechanical and technical background with mining-equipment knowledge.
• Proactive safety mindset and experience with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shop operations, ensuring on-time, defect-free maintenance and repairs.
• Develop efficient work plans, prioritize tasks, and manage bottlenecks.
• Supervise mechanics, monitor performance, and support skills development.
• Manage parts/inventory, forecast needs, and drive cost-effective procurement.
• Inspect and supervise preventive maintenance to OEM specs.
• Enforce safety standards and drive continuous safety culture.
• Coordinate with maintenance planners, field service, and management.
• Maintain accurate work orders, histories, parts usage, and KPI data.
