Job summary

Barminco Canada is seeking experienced Scoop Operators to join the Red Chris Mine team in northern British Columbia. This role operates underground loading units on a 14/14 FIFO rotation with camp accommodations and charter travel provided.

Ideal candidates have several years of underground mining experience, a strong commitment to safety and teamwork, and possess a valid driver’s license. Pre-employment screening and the ability to work in extreme conditions are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalency.
• 4–5 years of underground mining experience.
• Experience mucking with Sandvik LH621 loader is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license; manual transmission experience an asset.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a camp setting on a rotational basis.
• Ability to move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment Fit for Duty medical including alcohol and drug screening.

This role involves operating underground loading units on a 14/14 FIFO rotation, with camp accommodations and charter travel provided. The ideal candidates will have several years of underground mining experience and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency
• 4-5 years of experience as an underground miner
• Experience mucking with Sandvik LH621 loader or equivalent is an asset
• Valid Driver’s License; manual transmission experience an asset
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a camp setting on a rotational basis
• Ability to move materials up to 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination
• Ability to work in extreme weather and moderate to high noise environments
• Successful completion of a pre-employment Fit for Duty medical including alcohol and drug screening
