Job summary

Barminco Canada is seeking Underground Electricians to join our team at Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia. This camp-based role offers 14 days on, 14 days off with camp meals and charter travel from multiple hubs.

You’ll bring 3–5 years of underground electrician experience, a Red Seal or 4th year apprenticeship, and strong knowledge of high‑voltage distribution and PLC systems. Candidates must pass a Fit for Duty medical including drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license; manual transmission experience required.
• General computer skills.
• Ability to provide your own basic hand tools (most tools provided).
• 12-hour shift camp work on rotation (2 weeks on/2 weeks off).
• Move materials up to 50 pounds; good dexterity and coordination.
• Able to work in extreme weather and noisy environments.
• Pre-employment Fit for Duty medical including drug screening.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency

• Ability to do shift camp work on a rotational basis (12-hour days, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off)
• Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 poundsManual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination

What Will Make You Stand Out

• 3-5 years of experience working underground as an Underground Electrician
• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification or 4th year apprentice
• Sandvik development drill maintenance experience
• Thorough knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations, and BC Electrical Code
• Understanding of PLC control systems
• Experience with high voltage power distribution systems (13.8Kv, 600V motor control centers, variable frequency drives)
