Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. seeks a Commercial & Projects Counsel to support its Canadian and international operations, focusing on commercial contracting, procurement, construction and capital projects.

You will work with mine-site, projects, procurement, engineering and business teams to enable safe, compliant and efficient project delivery. The role requires Ontario-licensed counsel with experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements, advising on risk allocation, pricing and contract structures,

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ontario.
• Experience in corporate/commercial, construction, projects or procurement law.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Ability to translate legal issues into practical, commercially focused advice.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements supporting operating mines, development projects and capital programs.
• Advise on procurement and contracting strategy, including contracting models and risk allocation.
• Provide legal advice on scope of work, pricing, warranties, indemnities, and dispute resolution provisions.
• Support project and site teams through lifecycle of major contracts from procurement to close-out.
• Develop, maintain and improve contract templates and procurement processes.
