Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. in Ontario is seeking a Manager, Environmental & Community Relations for Island Gold District.

You will lead environmental compliance, community engagement, and Indigenous relations, ensuring regulatory and social performance standards are met. You will guide environmental systems, permitting, reclamation planning, and closure strategies, while fostering collaboration with regulators, local communities, and corporate teams.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years in environmental management or sustainability with at least 5 years in leadership.
  • Mining industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, CSR, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations, permitting and closure planning.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic leadership.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental compliance, community engagement and Indigenous relations initiatives at Island Gold District.
  • Oversee environmental systems, permitting, reclamation planning and closure strategies.
  • Develop and implement sustainability performance measures at district level.
  • Build strong relationships with Indigenous communities and regulators.
