Job summary

Vale Base Metals is seeking a Business Analyst (Mining Operations) for an 18-month fixed-term role in Sudbury, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario. The analyst will support design, validation, testing, and business readiness for the IT Foundation Program across global operations.

Responsibilities include end-to-end process representation, testing, training material development, and cross-functional collaboration with IT and business SMEs to ensure readiness and value realization.

Qualifications

• Mining degree or equivalent.
• SAP implementation experience (ideally SAP 2014 or major upgrades) or heavy SAP operational use.
• Very senior candidates welcome for high-impact, career-accelerating role.

Responsibilities

• Represent the assigned business process end-to-end within the IT Foundation Program.
• Ensure alignment between IT and Mining Operations stakeholders on process, scope, requirements, and readiness.
• Build test scenarios, test scripts, and test data.
• Execute testing cycles, document outcomes, identify defects, and support resolution.
• Collaborate with IT and business SMEs to validate system behavior against requirements.
• Plan, develop, review, and validate training materials for functional teams.
• Support live training delivery and learner readiness.
• Support data cleansing, validation, and preparation for cutover and testing; define contingency plans.
