Job summary

A global supplier of critical minerals in Sudbury is seeking a Business Analyst (Mining Operations) to support the IT Business Process & Value Realization team. This role involves ensuring process alignment between IT and Mining Operations, executing testing cycles, and collaborating with SMEs. Responsibilities

  • Represent the assigned business process end‑to‑end within the IT Foundation Program.
  • Ensure and guarantee alignment between IT and Mining Operations Business stakeholders.
  • Participate hands‑on in building test scenarios and test scripts.
  • Execute testing cycles, document outcomes, and support defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT and business SMEs to validate system behavior.
  • Plan, develop, review, and validate training materials.
  • Support live training delivery and attendance tracking.
  • Support data cleansing, validation, and preparation activities.
  • Define a contingency plan for critical activities.
  • Support any other change management, training, or readiness activities.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst (Mining Operations) to join our IT Business Process & Value Realization team in Sudbury, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario.

This role is a 18 month-fixed term position. As a Business Analyst you will play a critical role in supporting the successful design, validation, testing, and business readiness activities for the IT Foundation (IT complete Carveout Program) within the IT Business Change & Value Realization function. This position partners closely with IT, Business Process Owners, Business Process Delegates, Business Units, Business Process Analysts, training and communications teams, and functional SMEs to ensure end‑to‑end process representation, readiness, and value capture across global operations.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Represent the assigned business process end‑to‑end within the IT Foundation Program.
  • Ensure and guarantee alignment between IT and Mining Operations Business stakeholders on process, scope, requirements, and readiness.
  • Participate hands‑on in building test scenarios, test scripts, and test data.
  • Execute testing cycles, document outcomes, identify defects, and support defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT and business SMEs to validate system behavior against business requirements.
  • Plan, develop, review, and validate training materials for functional teams.
  • Support live training delivery, attendance tracking, and learner readiness.
  • Support data cleansing, validation, and preparation activities needed for cutover and testing. Define a contingency plan for all critical activities.
  • Mapping and Manage the Enterprise Initiatives in VBM to support anticipate the potential risks in the Program with Vale Base Metals.
  • Support any other change in management, training, communication, testing, or readiness activities required by the program.
