Qualifications

• Professional Engineer eligible with EGBC registration (Teck supports registration)
• 5–7 years in mining operations, project leadership or coordination roles
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related engineering discipline
• Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a dynamic mining environment
• Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and collaborative systems

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader and sponsor safety/environmental rules
• Provide technical guidance, engineering support, and operational analysis to Mine Operations
• Lead and coordinate operational projects and mine expansion initiatives
• Develop business cases, technical justifications, and capital expenditure proposals
• Collaborate with leadership and frontline teams to coordinate resources
• Track action items, milestones, and requisitions for accountability
• Maintain SOPs and documentation controls; ensure current reference materials
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives including MOC and documentation updates
• Develop workforce planning tools for vacation, staffing, and training requirements
• Monitor training compliance and workforce development needs
• Coordinate safety documentation and records for audits and improvements
