Teck Resources in British Columbia seeks a Supervisor Mill Operations to lead safety and performance for the Highland Valley Copper mill. You will manage shift operations, drive safety compliance, and ensure production targets are met while maintaining environmental standards.

You will oversee hourly crews, mentor staff, and coordinate with maintenance and technical services to optimize recovery and quality, including incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary in mineral processing/metallurgy is an asset.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in mineral processing or heavy industrial operation, supervising union hourly employees.
• Knowledge of concentrator/mineral-processing circuits and target metrics.
• Experience leading safety and environmental performance, including investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience supervising in a unionized environment and applying a collective agreement on shift is preferred.
• Ability to manage shift handover, coverage, attendance, and training.

• Lead safety and environmental performance by setting an example and following site rules.
• Chair incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Attend/lead monthly crew safety meetings and close actions.
• Know and follow site emergency plan and lead crew response.
• Supervise hourly operations, ensure work is completed to standard, manage performance.
• Coach employees, address performance and conduct issues, apply standards.
• Provide thorough shift handover and keep stakeholders informed of status, hazards, and unfinished work.
• Enforce procedures, permits, and isolations; stop work outside controls.
• Support continuous improvement and problem-solving for downtime and quality.
