Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation seeks an Intermediate Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support the Great Bear Project in Red Lake, Ontario. You will assist the I&C Lead with engineering reviews for plant instrumentation, process control, utilities, and mining services across surface and underground facilities during Detailed Engineering.

Responsibilities include reviewing vendor documents, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and guiding consultants and contractors to meet schedules,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or control system engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer designation in Ontario or eligibility to obtain one is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5–10 years of relevant work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of vendor documents and comment on process control documents including PFDs and P&IDs.
• Ensure that the engineering design meets project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide feedback and modifications to optimize design efficiency and functionality.
• Oversee I&C consultants and on-site contractor engineering deliverables and schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve issues during detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
