Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in Alberta is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to support the CNRL Albian Reclamation project in Fort McKay, AB. You’ll work on a fleet of haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators to keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job.

Join Ledcor’s True Blue team and operate on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation with 12-hour shifts. Camp accommodations and chartered flights from Edmonton or Calgary are provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair (mining or heavy civil preferred).
• Apprentice or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• Experience with CAT, John Deere, and Komatsu equipment strongly preferred.
• Must be available for day / night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
• Repair and replace components to OEM standards, with a focus on CAT, John Deere, and Komatsu equipment.
• Complete service records and communicate equipment status to operations teams.
• Work safely with tools and equipment, following all site safety procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanics and operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
