Job summary

Impala Canada is seeking 4 motivated co-op students for the Lac des Iles Mine, reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer. The placement runs on a 14 day on/14 day off schedule for 12–16 months, starting in 2026, with duties in data entry, engineering support, UG/Surface surveys, ventilation and ground control.

Ideal candidates are in Mining, Geological, or Geotechnical programs, have strong communication, analytical and organizational skills, and can work as part of a team on site in Ontario.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid G Driver’s license.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must be physically able to perform all functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and update of centric database.
• Assist with engineering activities.
• UG / Surface Survey
• UG Ventilation
• UG Ground Control
• Other duties as may be required
