Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA is seeking a Maintenance Janitor to support day-to-day upkeep and smooth facility operation. The role includes cleaning washrooms, lunch rooms, and outdoor buildings on a mine site, plus light repairs and general maintenance.

The position requires maintenance experience, strong English communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy objects and walk lengthy distances. Work involves remote camp, 12-hour day shifts, and Fly-In/Fly-Out arrangements.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience is required.
• Excellent English communication (oral and written).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Physically able to perform duties including heavy lifting and long walking.
• Operate related tools and equipment safely.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Detail oriented with ability to multitask.
• Trained in safety practices and site regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility maintenance including light carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and plumbing.
• Carry out custodial duties such as cleaning washrooms and lunch rooms on the site.
• Inspect facilities and perform repairs as needed.
• Handle ad-hoc repairs (windows, doors, shelves) and other duties as assigned.
