Job summary

Greenstone Mine in Ontario is hiring a Mine Haul Truck Operator to join our team and safely operate a mine haul truck on a shift-based schedule. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, you will contribute to production targets while maintaining safety standards on a large open-pit operation.

Based in Geraldton, Ontario, this permanent role requires experience with heavy equipment, strong safety commitment, and the ability to work up to 12.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment on large open-pit mines.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Large Mine Haul Truck in a safe and efficient way in accordance with all relevant legislation, company policies and procedures.
• Perform Field Level Risk Assessments.
• Cleaning operator cabin and refilling equipment fluids as required.
• Complete logbooks and daily reports on safety issues and production.
• Accurately track all load's sources, and destinations.
• Use two-way-radio, horn, and light signals to communicate with other operators and ensure safety.
• Use the Mine Haul Truck according to operating practices, policies, and procedures to haul materials such as sand, aggregates, blasted rock, and snow to various locations on the mine site.
• Monitor gauges, and other indicators to ensure the mine haul truck is working properly, report discrepancies.

The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mine Haul Truck Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Mine Haul Truck Operator is responsible for safely and productively operating a Mine Haul Truck.

This is a permanent position where team members are required to work up to 12.5 hours a day.

Key Responsibilities

Certifications
