Job summary

CertainTeed Canada seeks a Mine Environmental Technologist to support the Antrim Gypsum Project in Nova Scotia. You will help ensure environmental compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence throughout the mine's lifecycle.

You will conduct sampling, inspections, data management, and coordinate with regulators and contractors, promoting safety and continuous improvement on site. This role offers exposure to a major greenfield mining development from construction to long-term

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Technology, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in environmental compliance, mining, quarrying, or natural resource industries.
• Knowledge of environmental permitting, regulations, and monitoring programs.
• Experience with environmental sampling techniques and data management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GIS software (ArcGIS preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work safely in field environments.

Responsibilities

CertainTeed Canada is seeking a Mine Environmental Technologist to support the development, construction, and operation of the Antrim Gypsum Project, a new gypsum mine in Nova Scotia.

This is a unique opportunity to join a major mining project during its early stages and play a key role in ensuring environmental compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence throughout the mine's lifecycle.
