Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Mine Accountant for the Finance Department in Northern Ontario to manage fixed assets, amortization, and asset disposals in IFRS. You will ensure SOX compliance and support internal and external audits with accurate reporting.
Reporting to the Mine Controller, you will prepare asset registers, capital project costs, and ensure capitalization criteria are met, while collaborating with project leads to meet IFRS standards and company policies.

Reporting to the Mine Controller, you will be part of the Finance Department. You will be responsible for financial asset reporting including fixed assets, intangible assets and work in progress. You will track the life cycle of fixed assets, from acquisition to disposal, ensuring compliance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and assisting in preparing Group’s reporting package. You will also ensure compliance to the relevant SOX controls and be an active contributor to the Finance team. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Schedule:40 hours per week, 4-3 schedule at one of our Northern Ontario offices. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
