Job description

is Canada's leading and largest privately-owned frozen dessert manufacturer. We have been experiencing exponential growth and are excited to offer Maintenance Millwright Red Seal/Apprentice with Power Engineer positions. An Electrical ticket will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Provide mechanical expertise and support to the TOC in installation and maintenance of plant equipment and production assets.
  • Diagnose problems accurately and efficiently, perform root cause analyses, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Repair equipment and parts in the shop and collaborate with other trades to complete projects.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and maintenance shop.
  • Follow safety requirements and procedures.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Understand GMPs, HACCP, CCP, Lean, 5S, SOP, WHMIS standards.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, keeping managers informed and taking responsibility for actions.
  • Organize and multi-task effectively.
  • Interpret blueprints and problem-solve using industry best practices.
  • Complete work orders promptly, with familiarity in work orders and preventive maintenance cycles.
  • Support other maintenance staff as needed.
  • Respond efficiently to machinery breakdowns.
  • Possess knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects of equipment.
  • Identify and implement improvements in food processing machinery.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.
  • Utilize PLC training, thermal imaging, ultrasound, vibration analysis as assets.
Position Requirements:
  • Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial / AB/ ON/ BC Millwright or Millwright Apprentice.
  • Valid Power Engineer Certificate required.
  • Certified 4th or 5th class Power Engineer in boiler and refrigeration.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical plants is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability for PM shifts assigned by seniority.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including overnight and overtime as needed.
  • Work schedule: 4 x 10 or 5 x 8 hours shifts.

Additional duties may be assigned to support manufacturing operations.
