We’re looking for a Millwright to join our Maintenance team based in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Engineering and Maintenance manager.

Job Overview: The Millwright is responsible for maintaining the equipment in the plant. This position is open to recently graduated/ticketed Millwrights who are looking to build their career in the food manufacturing industry. They will perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned and complete work orders. Maintenance personnel also work on productivity, quality, and safety projects as they are identified and prioritized.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Execute responsibilities outlined in the Quality Management System, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Adhere to company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) rigorously.
  • Maintain, repair, rebuild, or install production equipment and fixtures within certification boundaries, using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance tasks and document them accordingly.
  • Organize and manage spare parts inventories under the supervision of your manager.
  • Document time spent and parts used according to established procedures when completing work orders.
  • Prioritize safety by adhering to safety policies, accident prevention measures, and compliance programs, while promptly reporting hazards or injuries. Additionally, maintain a clean and sanitary work area.

You will be a good fit if you have:

  • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Trade Certification – Red Seal Millwright is required
  • Ability to create neat, accurate, and legible reports
  • Ability to enter data into computer/CMMS systems
