Job summary

Canalta Controls is seeking a Journeyperson Millwright to keep our Red Deer operation running smoothly. Your day may include troubleshooting a CNC machine, repairing hydraulics, inspecting cranes, maintaining a compressor, or coordinating a facility repair.

You’ll be a good fit if you have a Millwright certification, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical issues.

Qualifications

• Hold a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification.
• Hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
• Work safely with minimal supervision.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot CNC machines, repair hydraulic systems, inspect overhead cranes, maintain compressors, and coordinate facility repairs.
• Ensure steady operation of manufacturing equipment with varied daily tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols and work with minimal supervision.

Monday to Friday | 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. | Permanent Full-Time

No night shift. No rotation. No camp.

Canalta Controls is looking for a skilled Millwright who enjoys variety, solving problems, and keeping a manufacturing operation running smoothly.

Your day could include troubleshooting a CNC machine, repairing a hydraulic system, inspecting an overhead crane, maintaining a compressor, or coordinating a specialized facility repair. You won’t be stuck working on the same piece of equipment every day.

You may be a good fit if you:

• Hold a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification
• Have hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Can troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues
• Work safely and can manage repairs with minimal supervision
• Have a valid Class 5 driver’s licence and basic computer skills

Backflow prevention certification and experience with Business Central are helpful, but they are not deal-breakers. If you’re a capable millwright willing to learn, we want to hear from you.
