Overview of the Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Schedule: Nights

Hourly Rate: $42.98

Term: 1 Year

Ideal candidate traits:

• Excellent troubleshooting skills and collaborative work ethic
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Effective communication skills, including completing work orders

Qualifications:

• Millwright with a journeyperson ticket/license or certificate of qualification
• Dual Ticketed in Welding/HVAC/Plumbing or Power Engineering (advantageous)
• Willingness to work night shifts (7pm - 7am) including weekends
• Experience in food industry or high-speed packaging preferred

Assets:

• Sanitary Stainless Steel Welding License
• Electrical and PLC troubleshooting experience
• 4th Class Power Engineering or Steam Boiler experience
• Refrigeration and air handling systems experience

Contributions:

• Perform reactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime
• Install and modify equipment, repair parts as needed
• Maintain food safety standards
• Adhere to safety policies and collaborate effectively with teams
• Perform other duties as assigned
